You Found Me

Sunday, October 25, 2009 0

In the end, everyone ends up alone
Losing her, the only one who's ever known
Who I am, who I'm not, who I want to be

No way to know how long she will be next to me

Song: You Found Me
Artist: The Fray
Album: The Fray

I'm quoting this from Isaac's interview.

You Found Me is a tough song for me. It started from just a song with a lot of hate towards God. More of questions, "why". It's about the disappointment, the heart ache, the let down that comes with life. Sometimes you're let down, sometimes you're the one who lets someone else down. It gets hard to know who you can trust, who you can count on.

"This song came out of a tough time, and I'm still right in the thick of it. There's some difficult circumstances my family and friends have been going through over the past year or so and can be overwhelming. It wears on me.

It demands so much of my faith to keep believing, keep hoping in the unseen. Sometimes, the tunnel has a light at the end, but usually, they just look black as night. This is about that feeling, and the hope that I still have, buried deep in my chest.

I've been trying to read reviews from other sites. It has really nothing to do with God, it does, but it's not really what the song is aimed to be perceived by. This song is written from the human perspective.

It's about the problem with evil, why bad things happen to good people, after some of their friends and family went through very tough times.

Sometimes, in our life, we questions God why he was too late...why in some instances, he took everything from us. In our eyes, it may seem like He was too late. In reality, it was our own fault. We find ourselves looking in the wrong places to find peace and happiness, but then we realize that God has been there the whole time, we just need to take the effort to find Him.

Even though we must suffer pain and death on this earth, God is with us always. We tend to get angry with God for letting war and other human suffering happen to us. Like the caterpillar who must force their way out of the cocoon, we are to born into pain through birth. It's only through life with love for others that we find God in ourselves.

Blackbird

Sunday, October 18, 2009 0
Ascend may you find no resistance
Know that you made such a difference
All you leave behind will live to the end
The cycle of suffering goes on
But memories of you stay strong
Someday, I too will fly and find you again

Song: Blackbird
Artist: Alter Bridge
Album: Blackbird

Blackbird is the second album of an American rock band Alter Bridge. The album was released on October 9, 2007. It peaked at number 13 on the Billboard 200, selling 47,000 copies on its first week on the charts.

Probably one of the best songs Alter Bridge have ever done. It's my favorite song along with Shed My Skin. This band has the kind of style, edge and talent that made old rock legends what they are.

It's about someone who has been through a lot of suffering and is finally freeing his hold. If you can read its complete lyrics, the words 'flying away' is about freedom from this world and could have meant death.

The willow that weeps in the first verse is the family or the people close to this person who are crying over their loss. The true depression they'd ever bound within will lasts for what seems like a lifetime

It's about acceptance. All things must someday reach its horizon but what makes this more heartbreaking is the unavoidable or unexpected death. The heart-rending sorrow of the final goodbye..that arrives too soon.

It's about letting go. There has existed no greater heartbreak than the last embrace on the lifeless body of that one you loved. But the memories are always strong..preserved on part of our mind.

"Let the wind carry you home..One day it's our time to fly and you will never be broken again."

What About Now?

Wednesday, October 14, 2009 0
The sun is breaking in your eyes / To start a new day / This broken heart can still survive / With a touch of your grace / Shadows fade into the light / I am by your side / Where love will find you

Song: What About Now?
Artist: Daughtry
Album: Daughtry

What About Now is the seventh single from American rock band Daughtry's eponymous debut album. The song is a ballad that was written by Ben Moody, David Hodges, and Josh Hartzler. It was officially released in the U.S. on July 1, 2008.

It is the last track on the album. A great song that is heartwarming down to the core. A little bit of a softer song that shows their more gentle side. The lyrics are true and packed full of sincerity and emotion...ones that people can relate to.

It's about real life occurrences, problems, obstacles...things that we deal with everyday and struggle through.

It depicts several people and places affected by poverty, natural disasters, and war, as well as other world issues.

I believe that there are many who are standing up in their hearts and saying that something needs to be done to make the world a better place for our children and their children.

These are people who believe in unconditional love of God, who believe We Are All One and who are committed to creating a world that reflects these beliefs, without making anyone else wrong who believes otherwise.

A kind of reminder which makes it special to our heart...definitely one of the things that makes us say: "Wow, I'm really glad somebody finally made a song about that."

We are always in the middle of something to think over. Never forget the very opportunity that we have in life. The most important moment is here and now. One has the power to make a difference. It's not too late to make a change.

Breathe

Monday, October 12, 2009 0
Music starts playin' like the end of a sad movie / It's the kinda ending you don't really wanna see / Cause it's tragedy and it'll only bring you down / Now I don't know what to be without you around

Song: Breathe
Artist: Taylor Swift ft. Colbie Caillat
Album: Fearless

Breathe is the seventh track from Taylor Swift's second studio album, Fearless, which was released on November 11, 2008. by Big Machine Records. The album debuted at number one on the U.S. Billboard 200, selling 592,304 copies in its first week, the best first-week sales for a female artist in 2008. Fearless became the first album to sell one million copies in 2009, selling 1,608,000+ copies since January. The album has produces four top 10 hits: "Change", "Love Story", "Fearless", "You Belong With Me".

I LOVE all her songs on this album, especially BREATHE. So I'm quite surprised that this song isn't really popular when it was unquestionably one of my favorite. I've listened to this song a couple of times already...Okay, I lied. It's been stuck in my head for months now...actually, I think it's going to be like FOREVER. I've never been obsessed to a song, since Britney's time, the way I felt with BREATHE.

I absotively posilutely love TSwift. I'm so impressed by her songwriting skills, creativity behind the lyrics, and the ability to take those lyrics and sing them sweetly and convincingly in a storytellig fashion. Taylor's voice is peaceful yet inspirational on top of Colbie's angel voice. This collabaration makes the song even more amazing.

This is a relationship break up song. She's the one who broke up with him, but she really didn't want to. It was something she knew she had to do though still, it hurts her.

She wants him to know that it wasn't easy even though she's the one who ended it. It's so sad and beautiful. Listening to this song will leave you breathless.

In every song, there is a point where you find yourself simply thinking about the true meaning of the lyrics. (That's what I've been doing ever since). This is why I completely adore Taylor because her songs are every girl's experiences of love and break ups that you don't have to dig it's hidden meaning because it's really there.

I love how she takes life experiences like these and makes them to such touching songs like this one.

Watch out for Fearless: Platinum Edition with 6 new songs available on 10/27/09.

Butterfly Fly Away

Thursday, October 8, 2009 2

Catterpillar in the tree / How you wonder who you'll be / Can't go far but you can always dream / Wish you may and wish you might / Don't you worry, hold on tight / I promise you there will come a day / Butterfly fly away

Song: Butterfly Fly Away
Artist: Miley Cyrus and Billy Ray Cyrus
Album: Hannah Montana: The Movie (soundtrack)

Butterfly Fly Away is the eighth single from the soundtrack to the motion picture Hannah Montana: The Movie. The song was performed by real life father and daughter tandem, Miley Cyrus and Billy Ray Cyrus.

An extended version of the song was featured in Billy ray's album 'Back to Tennessee.' It peaked at #72 on U.S. Billboard Hot 100 Chart.

A beautiful ballad about growing up...
Three tears: for moms, dads, and kids...

Touching lyrics and melody as well as vocals...

And dang!!! I literally started crying when I saw this part on the movie! I haven't cried (Oh!, I know I use the word 'cry/cried/crying' excessively more than any other word in English language. It's a habit...see? I just did it there. Didn't mean to, sorry for being a cry-baby) over a song since my grandpa passed away and this just brought back memories.

I am so blown away by this song...It strikes a chord for every parent who has struggled with the grief of losing a child (not literally, I'm talking about a daughter/son leaving her/his parents like a bird that's ready to fly away on it's own).

This is an incredible composition of the love of a parent and the return of that love - have the tissue ready on your side, you will need it.

Thank you Billy Ray and Miley for pouring out the secret bond of a parent and child into lyrics.

Go On Girl

Tuesday, October 6, 2009 0
The mistake I made is clear / We never shoulda been together / That's the reason you're not here / I know that I can do much better

Song: Go On Girl
Artist: Ne-Yo

Album: Because Of You

"Go On Girl" is a song written by Ne-Yo (American pop and R&B singer-songwriter, record producer, actor, and occasional rapper), Tor Erik Hermansen, Mikkel S. Eriksen, Espen Lind and Amund Bjorklund for Ne-Yo's second studio album Because of You. It was solicited to radio as the fourth single on December 4, 2007.

Ne-yo is definitely one of my favorite artist. For the most part he is very original, writes his own music, and has a very soulful R&B Voice, and I admire him for that! I will say that his songwriting is what sets him apart from any other R&B artist. With the mind-numbing "music" that is out there today, it's refreshing to remember that a song is not just about a hot beat but the actual lyrics.

Go on girl definitely is up there as the best song on the album. The lyrics and the overall sound of the song is just extremely addictive, and you wont stop listening to this one!

This song was not just for those who have their hearts broken. This also goes out for those who have the ability to open their minds about everything especially when it comes to relationships.

Everyone is capable to make a play and being played with someone. People out there do these things without even thinking about the millions of heart they are breaking and how many feelings are being crushed.

But the point is...despite all the heartaches, we must know how to move on and set him/her free. This song gives comfort...knowing the fact that life goes on.

I don't know how to put this into words, but this is just ME honestly saying to everyone that...Letting go of someone you love is very hard...even though this person brings pain to us. But from view of point, what is harder than that is moving on.

Even though we tend to disregard and forget our feelings for that special person, still there will come a time when you'll remember the good or bad times you've shared together.

It might take so long to get over a broken heart but eventually it will happen. There's someone out there for everyone. It's either you'll find him/her yourself...or maybe he/she'll come find you.

Love is wonderful when it is treated well. We must learn how to work for it, keep it, and fight for it. You know everything happens for a reason.

For all those who feel hurt and torture...don't use your eyes to cry for the ones who fooled you. Instead, use it to search for the right one.
